Love this on the iPad so much I don’t bother to read the hard copy anymore (stacks of Wired still in the plastic wrap). Sure wish I could read it on my iPhone 6+ since I don’t carry my iPad with me all the time.

No ability to subscribe and only the ability to buy a poorly formatted version at one-off news stand prices? Pass this one by. It is a low value, poorly implemented, overpriced turkey.
This magazine has gone downhill quickly. While the ads don’t bother me much (Wired has always had tons of ads), what does bother me is how they put looks over readability. For example, one article had a grey background and grey text in a white box. But the words were connected with the sides of the box, so it was VERY hard to read. The app works fine, but the magazine just isn’t as good as it used to be.
Most of the time I use my iPad with a Zagg keyboard cover, so landscape display functionality is important to me. I have been using this App to read Wired magazine for years, but noticed that I couldnt display the June 2015 issue of Wired in landscape mode. I contacted Wired customer service and was informed that all Conde Nast publications are now only viewable in portrait mode, which is a deal-breaker; I have uninstalled the Wired App and canceled my subscription.
I am stunned by Conde Nast’s decision to remove landscape mode from Wired, that is grade-A B.S. Tablets, like all portable digital devices, are designed to be flexible in their usage, and this absurd restriction is literally cutting that flexibility in half. Reading anything on an iPad in portrait mode is, at least for me, *incredibly* annoying, since I can’t set it up on the table, arm chair, etc. to read it without holding it (most cases aren’t designed with that mode in mind), so I have to physically hold the device up in the air while I try to eat my breakfast. Screw that. Ironically, I might not even have noticed the change if they had opted for landscape mode instead. I’ve read and loved Wired for almost 15 years. I was annoyed at having to cancel my paper subscription in order to *just* get the digital edition (even though the latter cost more money), but this is the last straw. I’m sorry to see it go, but I simply can’t enjoy reading it in such an awkward manner.
Another customer who finds it much easier to read in landscape. Please add that back!
The removal of landscape mode support as of the June issue is mystifying and extremely annoying. Like a lot of people, I use my iPad Air with the Apple cover/stand when Im on the go. Now, if Im reading Wired, I have to detach the stand and use it like a prop, which is not exactly ideal. When propped up on the stand in portrait mode, the iPad is no longer at the correct viewing angle (its too low), and if Im trying to read while eating I have to position the iPad off to the side, which is awkward and detracts from the reading experience. Conde Nast, I have no idea why you did this, but it may be a deal breaker for me.
I cant believe you guys decided to do a crap economy letting the landscape mode go. Its a shame.
Since I subscribe to Wired on line, wouldnt they think it a no-brainer that I DO NOT WANT a paper copy as well? What do I have to do to stop them from sending it? The print is too small (which is why I prefer to read it online) and it always gets tossed in the recycling. Total waste of paper, postage, etc.
Latest version appears to function similar to web browser. While beginning to read an article, an ad popped up over the article. The ad was from a previous earlier page i had already viewed. I pay a nominal fee for the right to read articles presented by writers published under Wired. Why do I have to view a popup ad as if i was a freebee reader? Very dissappointed in this latest update.
THE best way to read Wired magazine is on the iPad. Fantastic tech mag made even better with all the embedded content. RUINED by removal of landscape mode. Please bring it back....
Must be the dumbest app decision I’ve ever seen - not what I would have expected from Wired... This has single-handedly destroyed what used to be a good app for reading Wired Magazine. Please bring it back.
Im on a iPad air with ios 9.02 with a new download of the wired app and I can read in landscape mode.
Great magazine if only I could read it on my iPhone 6 Plus. I would give it a five star rating once Im able to read it on my iPhone 6 Plus.
Ready to cancel subscription completely. Dont carry print magazine. But do carry iPad. Whats the point in subscribing?
Perfect example of how NOT to write an app. No landscape mode, slow and buggy.
Love Wired magazine. Subscriber for almost 10 years. Im 49. Landscape mode increases size of fonts. Most pages dont zoom. Youve simply made it more difficult for me to read your magazine. Why?
I thought i was the only one annoyed with no landscape view. They took that away from the app and now its incredibly cumbersome to read. I absolutely hate this and hope they can fix it
Great magazine, I have been a subscriber for years. The app was great and I just stopped looking at the print copy but since a while, landscape mode is gone! What are app developers thinking? First in the LinkedIn app, now in Wired. Good that I still get the paper version.
How is it that I can purchase books so easily from the iBooks app, apps so easily from the App Store, yet I cant seem to buy a magazine through your magazine app?
