Its ridiculous that this app requires portrait mode.

When I download a magazine I expect it to stay on my iPad till I delete it not have keep re-downloading it every time I want to read a magazine.
I can login to the customer care site fine. App doesnt work. Not sure how a company the size of Conde Nast cant figure out authentication. Must be an awful place to work.
Conde Nast doesnt understand digital. I upgrade my digital devices quite regularly. Last week, I purchased a new iPad. When trying to activate my digital subscription on the new iPad, it told me that my password was wrong. I then tried to reset the password but the new password didnt work either to unlock my digital content. I tried to activate it using my subscriber number, but got the message "already registered, please use your username and password". Several emails to customer service were ignored - then they sent me a pre-canned script how to login (“click the icon in the upper left corner and input your username and password”). Gee, thanks, they didn’t even read my messages. Finally I called. After being on hold for the better part of an hour and transferred multiple times, I got a lady in "digital content" who told me "oh, it simply means you have too many devices. Let me reset that”. After that, login worked immediately. So apparently, every time I changed devices, they increased a counter. When that went over a threshold, they just suspended my account. No proper error message given. No attempt to tell me what is going on. Now, the sane way of doing this would of course be to "drop" any device from the account that hasnt been used with the account for a few months. I havent been using these devices side by side - whenever I upgraded, I never used the old device again. But Conde Nast keeps an absolute counter of all devices you have ever used with one account. That is just stupid. I will not be renewing any of my subscriptions for Conde Nast publications.
Ive been subscribed to WIRED for several months now, the latest edition wont let me download. It only gives me the option to buy or preview. Ive reached out to their support but they havent responded.
Got tired of swiping off ads.. Uninstalling asap
They did beta testing, right?
I cannot access any of my purchased subscriptions specifically the Wired iPad version now allows me only to preview or purchase issues I have already purchased through my renewable subscription. This is a mess and until it is fixed I will cancel my subscription. When purchasing a new iPad this update to allow accessibility to your purchase a subscription should work smoothly, it simply does not.
This is my first digital subscription so maybe Im ignorant of what exactly I should be expecting but I really think WIRED is doing a great job of taking advantage of all the capabilities of digital publishing. The interactive elements are very well integrated and enhance the experience rather than distracting from it. And while it might seem like a lot of adds to some I had no objections there. The features themselves are all self contained and uninterrupted by advertisement. Sounds like a lot of people are having technical issues but I cant speak to that, it works great for me.
Please update this app to support the iPhone! I notice the UK Wired app does support the iphone but not the US version. So what is the problem?? The latest iphones are nearly as large as some ipad models and have more than sufficent graphics to allow the viewing of magazines on the iphone. Every other magazine I subsribe to I can read a digital version on the iphone. Please update the app to support the iphone.
Every time I write a 1 star review the app says "nickname is taken". The Wired App has issues.
IPad Air with iOS 8. No problems. Works great. Love the ability to read the magazine digitally... Good work guys!
As fantastic a technology magazine as Wired is, so disappointing is this most mediocre of all apps. I always have tremendous difficulty downloading the latest and past issues. It seems to choke, even on moderately fast networks, when trying to download a single issue. If I try to download multiple issues to catch up, forget it. If you ever do get an issue downloaded, then the web links, audio and video are a great addendum. Alas, it is so rare that I get a successful download of an issue, that I give up. I am going back to pepper.
I have been billed twice for the yearly subscription to the tune of fourty dollars now. Im preparing the police report due Apple and Conce Nasts refusal to correct their corrupt business practices
I’ll chime in with the same complaints. I enjoyed the magazine on the iPad for a while and then it got to the point where downloads didn’t work anymore. (same as others have reported) This is good in concept, but the execution has been lacking. And of course, because the company is so large, *nobody* will take any responsibility for helping us get the issues we’re owed. I paid for lots of issues I could never get downloaded. finally got tired of paying for something I couldn’t use.
I cancelled my Wired print subscription because the cologne ads gave me headaches. Now this app does not work. I give up. I guess I am a Fast Company reader now.
Take an Excedrin before you read this magazine. Its an over designed labyrinth with unnecessary decorative elements which serve no purpose.
I bought a subscription and finished the subscription process on the tablet. Now I am trying to restore my account and its only allowing me to restore old purchases and not to retrieve the new issues that should still be available to me. This app is so broken its a shame.
Love it but i’ve transitioned away from an IPad to an IPhone plus and the app is not available. Why not?
Was great to have Wired on the iPad and I was beginning to think my hard copy was finally going to be obsolete. But as they say, backup, backup, backup. The app just stopped refreshing and I cannot longer read the mag. No way to get the app to refresh, no attempts at fixing it have worked. Back to the hard copy.
